Types of Artplay Sessions
Individual Artplay Sessions
Individual sessions use art-making, plus sensory play to help your child explore their feelings. Sessions are self-directed, meaning we follow the lead of your child while we help them strategize ways to become emotionally successful. There is a “you make it, you take it,” policy at Artplay, so creations are taken home to utilize as therapeutic tools for regulation. We help lower anxiety, while empowering kids to establish a positive self-identity. After each session, you will receive feedback for how you can help support your child.
Age Range: 4 to 18 years old
Cost: $140 per session
Length: 50 minutes, typically every other week
Sibling Artplay Sessions
Sibling sessions are for brothers and/or sisters to join together in the Artplay process of creating harmony. The intention is for them to build a stronger, healthier relationship that will last a lifetime. We recognize that families need support outside of the individual child, and that often times siblings struggle to get along, so we conduct sessions to encourage kindness, as well as giving them skills to co-exist in a positive ways. After each session, you will get feedback about how you can support what your children are working on together.
Number of siblings: 2-3
Cost: $170 per session
Length: 50 minutes, typically every other week
Parent Support Phone Calls
Artplay offers half hour phone calls for Artplay parents (child must be a current client), to guide you as we learn your child's needs. Our philosophy is child-centric, meaning that we believe children can learn to manage their own emotions... that parents and other adults cannot do this for them. But, sometimes, parents want to know more about what they can be doing to support their child, so that is the focus of these calls. These sessions take place by phone with your Artplay. Call or text 602-329-1347 to schedule.
